Three hazards of replacing a pillow with a hand
In real life, many students can’t go home at noon, most of them lie on the desks in the classroom, resting with their heads on their arms.
But Sun Hongyan, director of the Children and Children’s Research Institute of the China Youth Research Center, said that using a hand to replace a pillow nap has three major hazards.
Hazard one: As I sleep on my stomach, many nerves are oppressed. I often worry about my nap when I am sleeping, and I do not sleep well.
Hazard 2: Because the eyes are oppressed when sleeping on your stomach, temporary blurred vision usually occurs after nap.
If this is continued, it will cause excessive intraocular pressure and damage the vision. Over time, the eyeball will expand, the axis of the eye will increase, and high myopia will be formed. At the same time, it will also increase the incidence of glaucoma.
For patients with mild myopia, the degree of harm to myopia patients or students wearing contact lenses.
Hazard 3: Sleeping on your stomach, long-term pressure on your arms and face will affect normal blood circulation and nerve conduction, make your arms and face numb and even feel sore.
If left unattended, over time it can develop into a localized nerve palsy or deform the face.
Sun Hongyan reminded that if you can’t go home for a nap, you should also lay down on the desk and take a nap instead of lying on the desk.
In addition, do not go to bed in the morning after lunch, it is advisable to take a half-hour nap.
