  Experts from the University of Zurich and their colleagues conducted a trial in which they took leather alcohol for some, and after a while, their memory of some things declined.

Cortisol impairs the ability to search for information from memory, causing temporary loss of memory.

Researchers also found that memory impairment begins to manifest only after 1-4 hours of cortisol release.
